I absolutely adore this gorgeous family!  The kids were so sweet, and I love the striking resemblances they have with one another.  I also enjoyed watching the kids’ interactions w/ the baby–so precious!

Despite taking place in Illinois, I felt a taste of the West thanks to the naturey atmosphere of the gorgeous grounds of Timbercreek Bed & Breakfast and all of the cowboy boots!  Carrie grew up not too far from my midwest hometown and went to college with me in Illinois, but her husband is from Wyoming, where they met and now live.  I was asked to second shoot their wedding with Chuck Liu Photography, and it was such a pleasure to do so!  I was very impressed with the DIY desserts and decorations, and their nature theme flowed seamlessly through all of the details–including their wedding rings!  I’m a sucker for themes and details, so this sure was the wedding for me!

Congrats to Carrie and Randy, and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!!

Monique & Robert | Clarendon, Jamaica Wedding Photographer

I had the joyous privilege of traveling to Jamaica this spring to photograph my dear friends, Monique and Robert’s wedding.  Natives of Jamaica, they built their own home, which I got to enjoy staying in for a week after the festivities.  The day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful.  The sun was shining, the flowers in full bloom, a perfect Jamaican day.  We were running on “Jamaican time,” so the bride showed up two hours late–which meant plenty of time to make friends and take lots of pictures!  During this time is where I gained my Jamaican “pet name” (as they call it), “Stacy.”  The groom accidentally called me Stacy, and after that everyone thought my name was Stacy!  So for those two hours, all I heard was, “Stacy!  Stacy!  Over here!  Take a picture of me, Stacy!  Haha.  I do have to say, it was better than some of the other names I got during the trip such as “Chinese Eyes” or “Suzy Wang.”  My boyfriend’s pet names included, “White mon” and “Prince Henry.”  Gotta love Jamaicans and their pet names!  I hope you enjoy the beautiful colors and moments of this special day!

Oliver 6 Months | Mahomet, IL Baby Portrait Photographer

The summer has whizzed by, and I’m sure this little guy is much bigger now than he was in May when we did his 6-month shoot! Nevertheless, I had to make sure I shared these adorable photos with you.  Oliver is full of life and lovely expressions that will be sure to make you smile.

I had to include this next collage because it was one of my favorite moments of the shoot.  I lay down in the grass in front of Oliver to get this picture, and the further I leaned over to the side, the further he would lean over, too!  This, paired with a super confused look on his face as to why I was laying down and leaning to the side, made for an adorable series!  I love these spontaneous, precious moments.

Little Tilford–3 Weeks | Normal, IL Newborn Portrait Photographer

I had such a hard time with this post because there were so many cute shots of this adorable little baby!  We did Reed’s 3-day-old shots since babies change so quickly and we wanted to capture him right away.  It was an amazing experience getting to photograph such a young baby, but I will say he was more more relaxed and photogenic after a few weeks of getting used to this crazy world we live in!  I hope you enjoy these precious moments!

Special thanks to Rick Dunn for his assistance!

And thank YOU for stopping by!

Baby Reed 3-Days | Normal, IL Newborn Baby Photographer

This post is very special not only because these photos were shot only three days after little Reed was born, but because this is the baby of one of my closest childhood friends.  I have been friends with Reed’s mom since we were only six years old, and twenty years later, I had the honor of photographing her baby boy in their home in Normal, IL!  Since babies change so quickly, we wanted to be sure to document everything.  So we did one shot at three days and another at three weeks.  I can’t wait for three months!  But for now, enjoy these precious photos of three day old Reed.

Baby Reed at three weeks, soon to come!  Don’t miss it!

And special thanks to Nathan of Adhikari Photography for assisting the shoot!

I can’t say that basement shows are particularly my scene, but my brother’s various bands have brought me to a lot of ambient, experimental rock shows in the last few years.  This is his latest band, Enta.

I have known Teresa since she was a sweet, spunky elementary student about half my height!  She has blossomed into a beautiful high school graduate from Mahomet-Seymour High School, and it was an honor to take her senior portraits.  Here is a sample of our photos, taken in Champaign and Urbana, IL.  As you can see, we had a lot of fun w/ this shoot!

Congrats, Teresa, and best of luck in college!

Ed is an incredibly photogenic guy.  Most guys take a little coaxing to get them to loosen up in front of the camera, but he modeled like a pro from the very start!
